PROJECT BRIEF || CAMP PIXEL PROJECT || TRACY ROBINSON + JENNIFER WEST PICKARD

My name is Lexie, and I attended the Camp Pixel Project! This week at camp I learned how to take great pictures and how to make my own notepad and cupcake toppers for my next birthday party!!!! I thought this camp was going to be hard to do graphic design and I had only took pictures on my phone.

In graphic design, I learned what each tool means and how to use them and make more like mine! My favorite thing I made was the notepad. I also liked the cupcake toppers I made for my up-Coming birthday In August!

In photography, I learned so many meanings like F-stop and ISO and now I know how to use them!! I am going to use these settings on the next family vacation.

I would tell a friend to come to this camp next year it was the best camp I had ever done in my entire life!!! I will be looking forward to Camp Pixel Project next year!

THE ISSUE: A Fantastic Idea & A Time Crunch. Summer was coming!

We had a very short amount of time to develop a brand and website, as well as social media ads. We knew parents were already starting to choose summer camps for their kids and we would miss out if they did not work efficiently.

Camp Pixel Project needed a specific brand look that would standout among the endless summer camp options in The Woodlands. Jennifer quickly designed a logo and branding elements that stood above the rest. Since the camp was brand new, they had to set up a photo shoot depicting what we envisioned happening at a future camp. Tracy and Jennifer recruited some kids, and secured a location that looked like their ideal camp site. Tracy set-up very specific shots with the children based on her vision of what would happen at the camp. Jennifer then combined the newly created branding with Tracy’s enticing photos and created social media graphics to get the word out. Only targeted social media posts and placements were used - all camps SOLD OUT with a waiting list for next summer!
